Symbolism
The skulls in the Mexican culture represent a tribute to passed beloved ones. It is a fundamental piece of the altar for the Day of the Death as a form of commemoration for those who once brought happiness. The Day of the Death is a festival to honor the memory of lost loved ones who are believed to come back to visit their family from the afterlife.
